Some medications are not suitable to review by telehealth, and your practitioner may recommend an in-person appointment with your regular GP. Keeping your usual GP involved helps your care stay joined up.

No. Some medications are not suitable to review by video, and some need tests or a physical examination first. Your practitioner will tell you if an in-person review with your regular GP is the right course. They will explain the reasoning behind that.
No. A prescription is one possible outcome of the consultation, and only where your practitioner considers it clinically appropriate for you. Other outcomes include advice, monitoring, a change to your plan, a referral, or a recommendation to see your regular GP in person.
